Stay Focused

Published by jerseyfresh under Uncategorized

With the end of the wrestling season around the corner, many athletes will begin to feel sorry for themselves and not “Get into the Grind”. As the light at the end of the tunnel approaches, continue to stay focused on your long term goals and the task at hand because the success is worth the sacrifice. Please do not become short-sighted and worry so much about what you may be “missing out” on now because you only get one opportunity to accomplish your goals…JUST WRESTLE.

JerseyFreshWrestling.com – Get into the grind

Published by Coach Hangey under Uncategorized

JerseyFreshWrestling.com.

You have to get into the GRIND!

If you want to experience the success that you have set as a goal in the beginning of the season you must push through the tough times.  One of the toughest times for a wrestler is the end of January and the beginning of February.  The season is long and you start to see the light at the end of the tunnel but it can seem like the season never ends.  The athletes that stay focused on their goals and raise their level during these times usually separate themselves from the rest of the pack.  This is what we refer to as the GRIND.  This will put you in a position to see your goals become reality, I can assure you that if you start to become complacent or cut corners now you will fall short of your goals.  When you look back you will have no one to blame but yourself for falling short of your goals!

The next time you’re tired and and want to take it easy at practice remember what you set as your personal standard at the beginning of the season and GRIND through it!!
